June Top 13: Tomato Summer 🍅
We're celebrating the taste of summer: tomatoes 🍅 are showing up in everything from plates to fashion.
Tomatoes aren’t just for eating anymore. PDM Brand went all in on the fruit — and tomato car sunshade is the most unexpected way to bring a little summer garden energy to your commute. It’s a little playful, a little chic, and very mood lifting.
IG: @pdmbrandIf you’ve ever wondered where a really good tomato comes from, meet NIJASOL. A Spanish family of farmers with a deep passion for the fruit, grown in high-tech, sustainable greenhouses and exported across Europe. And their packaging is beyond cute.
If you want to get yourself DEEP into the bliss of tomatoes, book a flight to Spain (visit Nijasol), then join the La Tomatina celebrations in August. Of course, we would rather eat them than play in them, but there’s something for everyone.
Seattle’s Queen Anne Farmers Market has been welcoming each season with collectible illustrated posters, and this year’s theme celebrates the tomato in all its peak summer glory.
IG: @queenannefarmersmarketLeave it to Gentle Monster to make vegetables feel high fashion. Their 2026 Veggie Collection features 10 folding eyewear designs inspired by the shapes and colors of real produce. Playful, weird, and somehow still incredibly sleek. The kind of thing you didn’t know you needed until you saw it.
IG: @gentlemonsterNike turned their corporate cafeteria into a capsule collection. Café Pomodoro at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon got the full merch line. The tomato has officially gone corporate.
IG: @nikeShort Sentence turned a tomato into a full-on experience. Their giant sculptural tomato newsstand is playful, surreal, and brings the brand’s “Fiesta” collection into the physical world — something you can actually walk into, touch, and gather around.
IG: @short_sentence_officialTomatoes in your cocktail? Yes please. @nikki.sips shared a tomato-tini recipe that we can sip all summer long. We recommend using a lightly smoked salt in that libation, like Saltverk’s Birch Smoked.
IG: @nikki.sipsFlamingo Estate has distilled the garden into the herbaceous scents of fresh tomato leaves, herbs & hints of spice from candles to soap.
IG: @flamingo_estateLoewe crafted everything from charms to high-end bags in their Bucolic garden collection. Picnic and sunshine ready.
IG: @loeweIf you’ve picked up fresh tomatoes from your local farmers market and are looking for recipe ideas, The NYTimes has some fabulous ideas for any season. When summer heat hits, the gazpacho is a great idea.
Alma de tomate is a small Russian brand that turned the tomato into home decor – think multi-use heirloom tomato-shaped holder for candle and egg that are meant to live on your breakfast table, next to your favorite book, or a family dinner. Simple, beautiful, and very much a vibe.
IG: @alma_detomateUkrainian artist Julia Stankevych paints tomatoes on newspaper clippings and the result is chef's kiss. Small, affordable, and totally original. Your kitchen wall needs this. 🍅
